Okay.. So this question can only be answered from my fellow “Superior Drummer” owners who also own EZd2.
In Superior Drummer, You know that that button left of the play button (its a metronome icon) and the button name when hovering mouse over it is labeled “USE THE TEMPO OF THE MIDI FILE” Well, this is my favorite button in superior drummer because with one click you get to hear the beat in the tempo it was meant to be in. Well, in REAPER when using EZd2 for beat finding, I have to every time, grab the mouse, click on REAPER project BPM setting, look at the BPM in the EZd2 beat library and match it up to project. This is very frustrating when trying to find beats to start off with. A beat would sound great at one tempo but horrible at others if you get my drift. One would say, “Just use Superior Drummer then!” Superior doesn’t have the song writing capabilities as EZd2 does. Am I missing something? If not, I hope Toontrack will give this option in future update sometime..
In EZdrummer 2 you have some options when it’s used in a DAW (Sonar, Cubase etc):
– When the “Follow Host” button is enabled (at the bottom of EZdrummer 2, next to the play control buttons), EZdrummer 2 will use the tempo set by the DAW. Further, when the DAW is playing, EZdrummer 2 will play its time line in sync to it. You can also preview MIDI files in the browser and search tab, and they’ll sync to your host
– When the “Follow Host” button is disabled, you can run EZdrummer 2 in another tempo than your DAW.
– When “Preview in Original Tempo” is enabled in the Browser and Search tab, the MIDI files will be previewed in their original tempo – as they were originally recorded.
No plugin softwares can set their tempo and tell the DAW to follow that, the DAW:s simply don’t allow that.
Does this solve your issue?

Thank you for helping me with my question… I feel silly because of its simplicity and even more silly because I missed that in the user manual obviously… Thank you again
