If,after the release of EZD3, I need to do a fresh install of EZD2 because I get a new computer,or a crashed hard drive,etc……will EZD2 installation files still be accessible via the product manager? Or do I need to start thinking about how to back up the installation files?
Yep. EZD2 installation files will still be accessible via the Product Manager.
For example, I still have access to installation files for EZDrummer1, SuperiorDrummer2
and a few other discontinued Toontrack products.
But, as stated in the EZD3 FAQ, EZdrummer 2 will not be updated beyond May 3, 2022
and it is possible (re: very likely) that future updates
to the operating system or hardware may render older software unusable.
