I have to confess I don’t know what is going on here. I thought I had turned off quantization in Ableton but every time I record a track (Alesis Nitro kit driving SD3) the subsequent track is NOTHING like what I originally played. The kick and snare are way off though the hi hat seems fine.
Ideally what I want is simply what I played in real time using the SD instruments leaving the warts and all of my performance.
Any ideas on what is happening and how to solve it so what I play is what I record?
Thanks
On the Ableton Live side of things are you sure that you’ve turned off Record Quantize in the Edit menu (selected Edit/Record Quantize -> “No Quantization”) and there are no Grooves from the Groove Pool being applied to your clips? (open the Groove Pool by clicking the circle with the two wavy lines on the bottom-left of the file browser and make sure there’s nothing in there)
Not sure what else to check for that sort of issue.
