A couple of us reporting some problem in Reaper. When EZD2 is placed on a track and the drum view is active it will not allow you to play any drums (e.g., there is no sound), Until you click over and make Reaper active then you hear a single drum sound. Other than this it does seem to be functioning when you set up a groove and hit play. You just can’t “sample” any drum sounds when you are in the EZD2 interface?
Are you using the 32-bit version of EZD2 bridged in 64-bit Reaper like in the pic in the thread you posted a link to? If you are using the 64-bit version of Reaper, you need to make sure Reaper is using the 64-bit version of EZD2.
I’m using 64-bit Reaper 4.611 and EZD2.0 and don’t have any issue with clicking on the interface and getting sounds.
Can you post your system specs, Reaper version number, and what version number shows on the EZD2 interface?

Same Reaper as you. EZD2 is just downloaded yesterday, My picture is identical to the one posted except it says EZdrummer (x64 bridged) in the header.
EZdrummer plug-in version 2.0.0 (build 9149) [64-bit VST]
SOUND LIBRARIES
Cocktail version 1.3.3
EZdrummer 2 Modern version 1.0.0
EZdrummer 2 Vintage version 1.0.0
Pop/Rock version 1.4.0
MIDI LIBRARIES
EZdrummer 1 Demos version 1.0.0
EZdrummer 1 Pop/Rock version 1.0.0
EZdrummer 2 Modern/Vintage version 1.0.0
EZdrummer 2 Percussion version 1.0.0
EZX Cocktail version 1.3.2
So no 32 bit here. Actually with no sound in the EZD2 gui none of the fancy editing is possible. It acts just as a midi “player”.
But I am glad you have it working so it must just be a configuration setting in Reaper.
Here is my Reaper VST config.

If you’re EZD2 says ‘x64 bridged’ then you must be using the 32-bit version of Reaper. Can you confirm this?

Definitely, x64 Reaper . Been that way for years on my DAW. I was a little surprised to see the “x64 bridged ” in the header since I felt no bridge was necessary for Reaper x64 with a x64 plugin. Wonder whats going on?? Its only been a day – I am sure time will tell. Thanks for your attention.
Well, I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that the ‘bridged’ issue is the culprit as both you and the poster on the Reaper Forum show ‘bridged’ EZD 2. Bridged plugins have been known to be wonky in Reaper.
As to why? I have no idea.
