I just installed the current EZdrummer (1.21) for the first time. Reaper 3.672 (x64) had several problems with it:
1) plugin is not identified as “EZdrummer”, but calls itself “Dfh Sampler (x86)(Toontrack)(16 out)”. Took me a while to figure that out! (especially as I have Superior1 too which is listed the same).
2) couldn’t authorize in Reaper:
– Authorisation dialog was shown when plug was opened, however as soon as I clicked on it, I got this crash dialog:
Faulting application name: reaper_host32.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4c7c15f5
Faulting module name: USER32.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb3c
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00070066
Faulting process id: 0xd6c
Faulting application start time: 0x01cb4eaf365ab705
Faulting application path: C:Program FilesREAPER (x64)Pluginsreaper_host32.exe
Faulting module path: C:Windowssyswow64USER32.dll
Reaper continues to run, but the plugin window is now empty, looks like only the plugin host process crashes. This is probably an issue with Reaper x64’s x86-bridge technology.
I restarted Reaper and the same thing happened again.
Then after the crash (without restarting Reaper), I added the plugin to another track, and could complete authorisation this time. However CTRL-C didn’t work on the Computer ID (had to be manually typed).

It has always been listed as such in Reaper. Right-click and rename using the ‘Rename FX…’ dialog.

There must be a way to rename it. IK T-racks3 plugins had the same problem (identified as generic ‘T-racks3’ plugins rather than specific product names) and they fixed it in their latest updates. It’s really confusing & newbies will be out in the cold with this.
