    Hi there,

I think one of your answers may be on page 58 of the SPD 30 manual:

“Only MIDI data can be transmitted or received via USB.” which means you won’t hear EZD3 samples through your SPD 30 outputs unless you plug the headphone output from your computer into the “Mix In” port on your SPD 30. In the video you posted he is using a Roland TD50 module, which supports audio over USB in addition to MIDI. However he is playing audio through a UA. interface.

You can trigger the SPD 30 samples via EZDrummer (from a song track for example) or record MIDI into the EZDrummer song track or a DAW from the Roland.

In your post you mention “MIDI sound” in bullet 5. MIDI is not audio, it’s basically a musical device communications protocol.

Brads got it! ^^^ Midi travels one way and it’s going to your computer, that’s why your computer is making sound. I didn’t have 17 minutes to watch that video. If it sounds bad, change you’re audio settings in EZ, or get an audio interface. Good on Brad for checking the manual for you.
