i just recently purchased ez keys today im running 64 bit, everything installed fine..im running it through FL studio and put the dll file in vst folder, and scanned it, it read it fine etcc… but when i open up ez keys it says….”locate the sound files for ez keys” ??? im confused shouldnt that have already installed with everything else…do i have to set a path…please help!!!! confusined and wana work with this program cuz it looks amazing so i bought it and now at a stand still!!! any help would be greatly appriciated thanks
Hi,
manually moving the dll file post install is not supported, which is why EZkeys will not find the sound files.
Please point FL Studio to the location where the dll file is installed in its VST scan instead or Custom install EZkeys.

hey sorry i meant i didnt manually move it myself but i uninstalled it so i could start from sctracth….
1) i click to install Ezkeys 64 bit installer.exe
2) “welcome to the install wizard for Ez keys 64 bit” i click next
3) i agree to terms in the liscence agreement
4) THEN it says “no sound content was detected on your system”….”make sure you install atleast one sound pack after present install process is complete as the installer will not install any sounds.
ive added many plug ins into FL studio before so im familiar with the process of where to point FL studio to when ading plug ins….but am i just overlooking sumthin simply here?…..cuz i still just keep recieving the same message…fl studio will open up ez keys in its sequencer but b4 i get a chance to do anything else its says to locate the sound files for ez keys……..i almost had the same issue when i purchased metal foundry but that was solved by “setting the path” or however u wana say it by just clicking “set” program files86/toontrack/superior/superior drummer 2.0/sl-metal foundry. etc… and that problem was solved… so however i tried the same with ez keys by clicking browse when it tells me to locate the sound files but i get nuthing……im pretty confused, i tried reinstalling this several times but i still get thje same message….? =/
then sumtimes this message will pop up “warning the path u have selected can only be used by 64 bit version of ez keys as it could lead to issues in the future we recommend that u move your ezkeys sound libraries to a 32 bit friendly path instaed……..this is wut i get when i try and use it in the stand alone….i can choose “use path anyway” or “back” but still get the same message when i click either of them…=/
Hi,
FL is not a 64-bit application.
It can apparently bridge 64-bit plugins somehow but it still is 32-bit and I guess you load the 32-bit plugin which cannot “see” the path to where you have installed the sounds.
To clarify; FL is installed in the 32-bit application path: “C:Program Files (x86)Image-LineFL Studio 10FL.exe”
Whereas your installation of EZkeys content now is in the 64-bit app path: “C:Program Files’something'”
On my Win7 64 I can load EZkeys in FL 10 but I let all installers, 32-bit and 64-bit, Default install.
I just tried running one of the FL Demo songs and switched a Rhodes to EZkeys no problemo.

After Installation ran EZkeys and it asked to Browse for Sound files. Where do I browse?
This was a 32 bit installations and it just asked me to browse to locate sound files.
@jordantphilp:
Where exactly is your EZkeys content located on your hard drive?
@Larry.White:
Did you run the Content installer? Or just the 1.0.1 Player installer?

C:Program FilesToontrackEZkeys ok so the other day i ran the demo installers and finally got both of those to work, but when i tryied the full program again i got sum 1311 error with both 32 bit and 64 bit……so since i had luck with the demo version, i reinstalled the demo (64 bit) and then i deleted the (demo) dll file from my vst folder in and went into my “plug64.cab file that was in my downloads and just dragged and dropped that dll file into my vst folder and its been working since….only in FL studio 10…not 9 though…..but hey atleast its working now! im def digging this new program!! =) thanks for your help and patience..keep up the awesome work!!

Hi Mike,
could you please try running the installer for the Grand Piano EKX first, before running the 1.2.5 updater?

the system says no software found
you will need to install the ezkeys software first to be able to use this library
the message above in the previous message is the error im getting when trying to reinstall ezkeys
OK,
before I pass this on to my colleagues for input, could you please try creating an ‘EZkeys’ folder in your {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/ folder and then run the 1.2.5 installer again?

John
