I am having trouble with there being a split second delay from when I hit my electronic drums and when I hear the sounds. Here is what I am using:
1.) Roland TD-4 Kit
2.) Roland Midi to USB Cable with built in interface. (The midi OUT cable is plugged into the drum brain and the IN is just hanging there)
3.) EZ Drummer 2
I have heard someone mention that the problem goes away if an external sound module is used which the IN Cable would plug into. However, I would like to avoid having to purchase one at the moment. If this is the only way, can anyone recommend a good one for under $80?
Also, someone mentioned adjusting settings on the PC. I have no clue how to do this or what to adjust. Any ideas?
Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this. Thanks!
What OS version are you using? Are you using the built in audio interface? Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
You will get much better latency by using ASIO drivers. ASIO4all is a free driver for those computer audio interfaces that don’t have native ASIO support.

I am using windows 7 on an HP Pavilion Desktop. 6 Gigs Memory, 64 bit, QuadCore Processor. I only have the Roland USB to midi cable (was about $40-50). I will check into ASIO. I remember seeing that setting somewhere. Thanks.
