SOLVED. Problem routing out individual outputs to Cakewalk

I’m in Cakewalk. The latest version of SD3 is inserted in an FX bin on an audio track. Plays fine. Now, I’m trying to route out of SD3’s individual outputs to individual tracks in my DAW. In the SD3 Mixer panel, I’ve set to Multichannel outputs; this creates all the buses/outs etc. through which I can route my individual channels in SD3.

In Cakewalk I’ve inserted both audio tracks and MIDI tracks but I’m not seeing any ability to set the “ins” from SD3 on either; there doesn’t appear to be a signal path, so the SD3 “outs” don’t show as “in” options on either type of track. Then I tried enabling MIDI out in SD3, but the “outs” aren’t showing as an “in” option on my DAW midi tracks either.

What am I missing? What else can I try? Thanks.

You have to enable multi out in the DAW. At least you do in Cubase on the rack instrument not within sd3. I don’t know if it similar in cakewalk. When you enable the outputs they should appear in your DAW

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Solved! I had to insert SD3 as an Instrument Track, NOT as a plugin in the FX rack. Now, all the SD3 Outputs show in Cakewalk.
