Hi,
I have a problem (and I´m shure I´m just overseeing the ovlious).
I work with EZ Drummer fo a while (I have the Nashville and Percussion extensions) and everything works fine as far as I use the delivered midi grooves.
As soon as I start working with programmed grooves there comes up a very strange behaviour in the Cymbals ad the high-hat. Some notes seem to be stopped. The sound is not equaly, it´s not possible for me to program a usable groove. This behaviour apears normaly when I start to add snare and bassdrum to a ride or high-hat groove.
It appears in Cubase and ableton Live. It apperas int he ez-drummer stabdard set and in the nashville extension.
Any ideas?
Help wold be deeply appeciated.
Best,
Stephan
No system details from you ? but sounds like your system is chocking.
Maybe not enough ram or your buffer setting is too low or even your computer isnt keeping up.
EZ drummer works perfectly on a well setup machine so rest assured it is not the software but something not right in your setup,
Also you
need to be sure your updated latest EZ Drummer (1.2.1),are you using this latest version ?
Hi,
I don´t think it´s my machine. I´m on a mac book bro with 4 gb ram. My hits are (as i wrote) cubase and ableton live. It happends in both and also in stand allone mode.
I just figured something out: Plaing loud notes chokes my cymbals. When i first hit a cymbal it´s fidne. When i then olay any loud note it chokes. It seems this is not a problem of my machine (i work with much bigger and hungryer vst instruments, like vsl, and it works fine).
I guess EZ rummer is somehow misinterpreting my midi signals.
I just saw a thread with the same problem in the forum.
Anyone any idea?
Best Stephan
P.S.: Ofcourse I´m on the latest version of EZ-Drummer and the extensions
Yes, shure.
But in in my special case the cymbal sound stays until i hit snare or bass. Whis makes groove programming nearl impossible.
This happens only when I hit pretty hard. And it never appers when i use the grooves which come with the ez drummer. But sometimes u have to use your own grooves…….
Any deas?
No, I make my own grooves too 90% of the time,Someone else will help here.
All i can say is it wont actually be a problem with EZ itself .
Sounds like the polyphony being limited.I mainly use SD2 now so i cant really remember any setting that may affect this.
How do you Program midi input.
Keyboard or E drums ?
I´m shure that this will be solvable (is it possible to say it this way?). I really like the EZ Drums. The grooves are great, the sounds too. There is just soemthing wrong with the midi menaging I guess. Hope someone will jump in here.
I´m programming via midi keyboard (Doepfer lmk2)
Best,
Stephan
