Hi i have a Problem with the Dynamic from my self made Kick.
The Dynamic is not Present. Source is a Real Life played Drumset. On the Tracker the Kick have wonderful Dynamic (Velocity).
In the Mixer there is no Compressor Inside.
The Bassdrum is a Gretsch Round Badge (16×24) + Eurodat Kick 12 + Grund Kick.
I am afraid that the Eurodat Kick 12 and the Grund Kick (this are Elecronic Kicks) dont have a Velocity and play only one Sound.
Have anyone a idea how i can make the thing Dynamic?
One Way (but its very time consuming) is too make a Audiofile from the Kick and make the Dynamic with the Audio File with Editing.
Please Help :).
Ronny
PS: Sorry, my English is not the Best
I think we are unsure of what you are saying. Or what is t working right. You mention tracker, so are you using audio from the kicks you mention (hive never heard of them) or are you sending midi to sd3. All a bit confusing. I haven’t noticed any problems with the dynamics of the kicks.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Ok i try too describe it better.
I have a Kickdrum as Audio and Import it on the Tracker.
I have made the Kickdrum of SD3 from myself and there are 3 Kickrums.
Gretsch Round Badge (16×24)
Eurodat Kick 12
Grund Kick
The Problem is that the Kicks haven any Dynamic although in the Tracker (who convert the Audio to Midi) the Dynamic is wonderful.
The Mixer is not the Problem. There are no Compression on it.
I am afraid that the Eurodat Kick 12 and the Grund Kick haven any Dynamic (Electronic Bassdrums).
What can i do?
Only editing the Kickdrums as Audiofile after SD3?
Is this understandable?

So the chances are these are one shot samples. If too loud then they will drowned out the Gretch. Have you applied separate velocity curve to them? What about velocity switch so they don’t sound until it hits a higher velocity?

The velocity curve have separate curve. Its Standard. When i set the velocity too the same of the gretch then the kick are heavy but its only without Dynamic.
It does not matter who high the velocity is. The Sound is everytime the same.
I load 2 Attachments. One mp3 with the Sound and one pdf with the settings. The mp3 is the same Song which you can see on the pdf (Velocity of the Bassdrum is far apart)
