It’s either cross stick or rim shot as there is only one note number sent.
What you can do is use velocity switching so at lower velocities it plays cross stick and higher it plays a rim shot. Just set this up per articulation. I tried this but was never satisfied with it. I bought a bt1 for cross stick to use with my td30. I have a td50x now with the digital pad so no such problems.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
