Hey All,
So I have all my drums programmed, and I’d like to seperate them out to seperate tracks, so that I can hear them, and effect them differently.
I am using the DFH, and when I have a standard instrument track set, I can hear everything in stereo just perfectly, and it sounds great.
In PT LE 8, I create 3 Mono tracks (Trk1,2,3) and 5 stereo tracks (Trk 4,5,6,7,8)
In EZD (Mixer) I right click and select multichannel…verify that each channel is set properly.
In PT LE, I set the input for each track to match the output that the mixer in EZD is telling me it should be.
When I hit play, I hear nothing but the kick on the original instrument track. Nothing is coming through the other audio tracks. I’ve even armed the PT tracks to record, or also recorded the entire song, figuring maybe I’d get audio…but I get nothing…
I CANNOT run EZD in multichannel mode in PTLE8.
Am I missing something? Please help!
Thanks!
Hi,
please try out the attached Template Session.
It should show you how to set things up.

John,
Thanks for the template…this is basically how I had it set up…I will try your template later, and see if it works if I change to the DFH, but a few questions remain.
1) I can’t hear anything from the other channels unless I record them. Even arming the tracks and playing doesn’t produce any sound. On your template..if I click the mouse on the snare, I hear a snare, and the snare track meter visably shows sound. Not the case when I set things up exactle the same way with DFH
2) Arming the “Kick” track and trying to record, produces an empty wave. Track 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 all record, but the kick drum does NOT record to audio…so I can’t mute the Midi track because the kick then disappears from the mix.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction…any additional help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi,
I think you are confusing Instrument and Aux Tracks with Audio Tracks.
If you wish to print to Audio, set up Sends from the Instrument and Aux Tracks to new Audio Tracks with their Inputs set correspondingly.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

John
