    Hi,

are you trying to use EZdrummer in Toontrack solo at the same time as running Pro Tools? That is not how you do it.
Only run Pro Tools and then insert the EZdrummer Instrument plugin on a Stereo Instrument Track. If it doesn’t show in the plugin list, could you please tell me if it is in the Digidesign/Plug-Ins folder or the Digidesign/Plug-Ins(Unused) folder?
The plugin name would be Ezdrummer.dpm.

BTW, please take the time to fill in your system details in your profile and/or signature.

    Hi John,

Thanks for the quick response. Ok so I found the ezdrummer.dpm and its in my plugs in, C:/Program  Files/Common Files/Digidesign/DAE/Plug-Ins/ Thats where I found it.

So I opened up just pro tools, created a stereo instrument track and and I went to multichannel plug in and the only thing listed for me under instrument is Ableton live, no EZ drummer. Then I tried multi-mono plug in and under instrument I just have Ableton and a click avaiable.

When you create a stereo instrument track should you create it in ticks or samples? I tried both and I still couldn’t find the plug in. I must be missing something simple right? It can’t be this hard to figure out. lol.

Also Im running Windows XP thru a Rain Recording “Event” with Pro Tools 7.4 thru a mbox mini 2. Thanks again.

    Hi,

it sounds a bit strange, since the location looks right to me.
The other plugins in the DAE/Plug-Ins folder show up alright among the Inserts?
If so, quit Pro Tools and please try:
    1) manually delete the ezdrummer.dpm file you found
    2) run the 1.2.1 updater again
    3) check that it is in the DAE/Plug-Ins folder
    4) start Pro Tools
    5) go into the Preferences and select to list plugins both under Category and Manufacturer.
    6) create your Stereo Instrument Track and check under Multichannel plugins | Toontrack

Which exact Pro Tools version are you using? Pro Tools 7.4cs10?
Did you install from DVD or from the Full Download Installer?

    John

I did everything you suggested and still nothing.  The ezdrummer.dpm is in the folder that contains all my other plug ins. Is there supposed to be a toontrack folder in plug in settings also? Something weird I noticed, remember how I told you I could select an Ableton Live plug in, I don’t see any ableton.dpm or live.dpm in my plug in folder. Im not sure if that has any revelence but thought I’d throw it out there. Also, my EZ drummer installation CD is stuck in my disc drive, would that cause anything weird?

Also, how exactly do find the specific version of pro tools? Mine just says Pro Tools 7.4 LE. I installed Pro Tools from a disc awhile ago. I installed EZ drummer with a disc too (which got stuck in my CD drive).

    OK,

here’s what I want you to do:
    1) download the Full Download EZdrummer Installer (≈700MB) from your Toontrack account
    2) Remove EZdrummer from the Add/Remove Control Panel
    3) Install EZdrummer from the Full Download Archive
    4) Run the EZdrummer 1.2.1 updater.

I very much recommend you update your Pro Tools LE to 7.4cs10 first, though. It is most likely the 7.4 release version you have if you installed from DVD.
…and get that stuck DVD out of your DVD drive…
