I have installed the 64 bit version and the files are installed to the Pro tools aax plugin folder but when pro tools is starting it brings up the message that it is not a valid 64 bit plugin can anyone shed any light on this. I understand there may be an update to install but there is nothing showing in my Toontrack account regarding either the demo I downloaded or any updates. Help appreciated guys. Cheers.
Hi Barry,
What specific version of pro tools are you running? If its not the latest version of 11 (i.e. 11.1.3) I would first recommend preforming this update. Then trying EZD2 in Pro tools again.
Since you mention a separate 64 bit installer we can also assume that you are on windows but knowing your Operating system version would also help us.
Finally, Although it is not the AAX version, does EZdrummer 2 work in the Stand alone application on your computer?

Thanks for the reply.
I am on Windows 7 64 bit.
The stand alone version is working ok on my system.
11.0.2 is the version I am running so I will try the update as suggested.
One more thing is I also installed the 32 bit version of ezdrummer2 demo and I get the same message from PT 10.

That EZdrummer 2 isn’t a valid 64-bit plug-in? That sounds strange, given that PT 10 is a 32-bit application. Are you sure?
It should load the RTAS version if it can’t load the AAX

Ok, we have found the issue and we will release a new version of the demo shortly.
While you will receive the error message in Pro tools 10, the RTAS version of the Demo will still work as John Mentioned above.
Also, to be completely clear, this is a temporary issue with the DEMO version, it is not present in the full version of EZDrummer 2.

The New version of the Demo has now been uploaded. Toontrack uses a CDN (content delivery network) so it can take about 24 hrs for the new upload to spread to all of the different servers around the world. Please try downloading the new demo in 24 hrs.
