Power Hand Options

Is there any way to activate the Power Hand option if I add EZ2 to a midi drum track that is already existing? It seems to only be possible if I drag a drum loop from EZ2 files into the EZ compose area and then click on it.

Also (related question) is there any way to import a midi drum groove from a track in my DAW (Tracktion5) into EZ2 to add to or change it?

Any of the ‘Edit Play Style’ functions, which the Power Hand adjustment is a part of, are only available for MIDI files in the Song Track in EZD2.

You can import MIDI files via the Track Options menu at the top right corner of the Song Track.

A side note – you can also import MIDI to EZdrummer 2’s track by dragging it there (from your hard drive or from your DAW, as long as you have a DAW that supports dragging out MIDI).

If your DAW doesn’t support dragging out MIDI, you can record enable EZdrummer 2 and start playback of the MIDI from the DAW. In this scenario, EZDrummer 2 will record the incoming MIDI and turn it into a MIDI block on it’s song track
