Surely the Kick only in the “Small Oak ” preset is not meant to sound really glitchey/distorted as it does
Its only the kick , the rest of the kit is normal and the Big Oak preset is normal ,
after testing it is very much the preset but puzzles me how it just be left this way even released this way.
Workarounds i know but i truly don’t think this is good enough answer too.
No update for this expansion?
Hi,
can you please provide a sound clip to give an example? Sounds as intended here.

In that preset kick is literally distorted/ crackily/ random as well and if i try to “audition” other kicks they all have the unusable sound.
You really need to hear it, 30 years of mixing i can tell you its like a fried channel.
Rendering that preset unusable, sure i can load a different preset but since we only have half a dozed or so it seems fair to want to clear it up
John are you suggesting its just in my Expansion. Yours is perhaps got character but relatively clean like the other presets, if so, how is this?
i may be better to just re install or uninstall- re install ??
To me this does not sound like glitches/distorted/crackily so I would suggest re-installing the EZX, yes.

It could be a matter of CPU-overload. ‘Small Oak’ is one of the most
CPU consuming presets we have.

In stand alone mode in EZD on a Quad Core with 16 gig ram that is setup and used to run multitrack professional mixes with Native Instruments, Eastwest Play,Fxpansion UA,Waves… without any cpu overload, i doubt that is the problem ,would you guys make a patch for EZD demographic that is that much cpu that a power SD2 user would have trouble with .
And John yes mine should but DOES NOT sound like that example or i wouldn’t waste our time. At least i know what it should sound like.
None of the above after losing time i did as suggested and installed again and did un install first , same problem which got me thinking about Solo.
Latency in Solo set at lowest > 64 gives the crackle . Check it out Mods even if so you can “know”
so moved up to a very average E Kit latency of 128 solved the problem, Mmm.
Thanks for the feedback,
so did I understand right that if you run the EZdrummer 2 standalone app, you get crackles @128 buffer size but if you load EZdrummer 2 in Toontrack solo, you don’t?
What OS version are you on? Your Quad Core model is?
