I’ve got SD3 and am considering adding the SD2 NY studio kit vol 1, which is now on sale, particularly for the clear-head toms, which is how I prefer to set up and record real drums for many applications. I like a lot of what’s in the SD3 library though, so I just wanted to make sure before I spend the money – If I’m using an SD3 kit, say one of the Massenburg ones that I’ve been making a lot of use of, could I simply select the clear toms from SD2 and leave the rest of the SD3 kit as is? Or is it only possible to use *either* an SD2 kit *or* an SD3 kit, but not ‘mix and match’ individual elements between them? Thanks in advance!
Yes, you can mix and match kit pieces from other Toontrack libraries (SDXs and EZXs).
See the Search For Instrument section of the S3 manual for details.
