Hi –
Is it possible to have ruffs choke when another snare articulation is triggered? Most of the ruffs in SD3 are longer than in previous SDX’s, so they decay over the following articulations. This sounds very unnatural and in many cases renders them unusable. This never stood out with SD2 or any of the SDX’s that I own. They don’t choke, but they are all short enough to not overlap.
Hoping there’s a solution…
Thanks –
Hi,
select the Ruffs articulation, Open the Envelope and Offset box and Enable it.
Make the Release Trigger ‘Note Off’ and set your preferred value, perhaps somewhere around 180 – 220 ms?
This way, the note length will determine how long the Ruff will sound.

John
