Brand new to SD3 after using EZ Drummer, EZ Keys, EZ Bass.

I have SSD 5.5 and its core library, plus two expansion libraries. Is there a way to add these sample libraries as “User libraries” and use in SD3? I know from reading there can User Midi, but how about User Libraries where SD3 is triggering those samples?

    Thanks.

You can import samples on a one by one basis into SD3, but it doesn’t support adding whole external libraries, other than EZDrummer, of course.

Thanks for the info. From reading the manual, it looks like the best way to do that is to drag and drop a Slate wave file onto an instrument in the interface, am I thinking correctly on that?

Once I do that, is there a way to save, say a snare drum from Slate, and then have it be available as an instrument option in the future. I would like to add just a few of the slate shells and have them available in a user instruments folder of sorts, if there’s a process that would approximately accomplish that.

    Hi,

once you have created your your new instrument, you can right-click the pad and go to More > User Instruments > Save As…

There you also find the User Instruments > Load Menu.
