    Hi,

is this happening directly when you click the ‘Replace MIDI’ button or when you click the ‘Save changes’?
Is this in the Standalone, the plug-in or both? If as a plug-in which host are you using?
Which version number is displayed in the lower left corner of the interface?

    BR,
    John

    Hi John,

I have to confess to a senior moment. Following the reference to “Save changes” in your reply I looked more closely and found the “Cancel” and “Save changes” buttons in the main Groove Panel (they were a bit small on my laptop.) Everything to do with replacing MIDI is indeed working as it should. Apologies for this.

Whilst I have your attention, I have added some Libraries to EZDrummer which are in General MIDI format. Do I need to apply the “MIDI In/E-Drum Preset” option to them, or have I misunderstood this setting?

    Kind regards,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

    glad to hear it works.
RE: GM files – they *should* work without doing anything with them, unless they contain other hits than drums, e.g. percussion or tonal elements.

How did you add them? Are you sure it’s drums only? Does anything happen if you apply a ‘Generic’ MIDI preset to a folder?

    Hi,

The GM Files were already in the system from EZD 2. The Left Hand Folders panel gave the option to “Add to Database” under their entries. I clicked on that option and they became available.

Some of the grooves are Drums and others are Percussion. The drum grooves play well with the Kits, and I have the Latin Percussion EZX which takes care of playing the Percussion Grooves.

As to your final question (“Does anything happen if you apply a ‘Generic’ MIDI preset to a folder?’) I probably won’t have a chance to try that until next week sometime, but will let you know in due course.

    Regards,

    Andrew
