I removed the demo plugin, no luck.  I did get two errors on the Americana expansion pack that the installer needed to be updated.  And I think the EZdrummer.aaxplugin needs to be in a different directory than Avid, just don’t know the corect directory for it.

The expansion pack errors are probably due to not using the Toontrack Product Manager to install but instead, using the website downloads.

    Hi Scott,

I believe I used the Product Manager for all downloads.

Is there a Logic Pro directory that the EZdrummer.aaxplugin  should be in?

Logic does not use aax plug-ins, that is a properitary format used exclusively by Pro Tools.

    Thanks,

Then the EZDrummer.component file should be used, and that is in the correct directory.  Perhaps the upgrade to Logic Pro 10.6.1 caused EZDrummer 2 to be incompatible with logic?

    Hi lou_23,

I am running EZdrummer 2 in Logic Pro 10.6.1 right now, so that’s not the problem.

I can see you have downloaded files both via the Product Manager and the web site but also that you have Authorized the Americana EZX, so the “only” problem you have right now is to load EZdrummer 2 as a plug-in in Logic, right?

Did you try deleting the AU cache and rebooting the Mac? If not, please see this FAQ:

    Hi John,

No luck, still not seeing the plugin for ezdrummer.  I don’t see the ezdrummer plugin recognized when the plugins file is rebuilt.  It first stopped on the demo file, which I then deleted, deleted the com.apple.audiounits.cache file again, and rebooted.

This time it did not load the ezdrummer plugin, and I didn’t see it being loaded.

I tried sending you the ezdrummer component file but it was too large, and had to be removed.

    Should I try reloading everytning?

    Hi John

When I open Plugin Manager in Logic Pro I do see the EZDrummer plugin.  It looks good.  And I see it loading on the rescan of the cache file.

I’m wondering if it’s pilot error on my part.  What is the sequence for creating a new Track in Logic Pro that should pull in the plugin?

    Thanks

    Thanks Brad,

That worked!  It was probably there all the time.  I kept looking for it in the plugin list instead of the AU Units.  Thanks for hanging in there with me!

    Best,
