Are you saying that EZ D. is compatible with Catalina?

I am also using Catalina and downloaded ezdrummer2, but can’t get Logic Pro x to recognize plugins for ezd2, the stand alone ezd works, but I can’t find a way the open plugin files in Logic , its like all the files in Catalina are hidden for viewing. any suggestion to open all files for viewing logic files in Catalina, is this something new in Catalina

No it’s not new for Catalina. Log out from your computer and back in (or reboot) and Logic should see the new plug-in.

    Hello guys,

i have a problem since i upgraded to Catalina. Also some other guys told me that they have the same problem.

Logic does not autoload EZdrummer. You have to engage it manually.Did you notice this also?

Everything in my Mac is updated.

    Thanks for the reply.

    @Aimilios:

did you try rebooting before launching Logic? What does the Logic Plug-In Manager say about the EZdrummer plug-in?

@guithome: I am running PT 2020.3 and have no problem seeing my Toontrack plug-ins. Do you mean that you could load the EZdrummer 2 plug-in before you updated?
Is there an ‘EZdrummer.aaxplugin’ file in the {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/ folder?

Could the issue be that the option “Only load plug-ins needed for project playback” is on in File > Project Settings > General?

Same problem here, bought Ezdrummer 2 yesterday (1/17/2021).  Loads as a standalone app but not as a plugin.  I have the latest version  of Ezdrummer 2, used the latest installer software and applied all updates. I both checked and unchecked the option “Only load plug-ins needed for project playback” is on in File > Project Settings > General.

    I verified that EZdrummer.aaxplugin’ file is in the {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/ folder.

I am running Running Logic Pro 10.6.1.  That is the latest version of logic

Is there a solution I haven’t tried or should I call Sweetwater and tell them the software is not compatible with the latest version of Logic Pro 10.6.1?

    Thanks!

    {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/

{Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/ is the location for Pro Tools plugins, they are in aax format and Logic doesn’t use them.

{Mac HD}/Library/Audio/Pluig-ins/Components/ is the location of the *.component plug-ins, AU (Audio Units) plugins, which Logic and Garage Band does use. Works fine on my 2 Catalina systems and 1 Mojave system.

Have you checked {Mac HD}/Library/Audio/Pluig-ins/Components/EZDrummer.component is there and been updated?

I removed the demo plugin, no luck.  I did get two errors on the Americana expansion pack that the installer needed to be updated.  And I think the EZdrummer.aaxplugin needs to be in a different directory than Avid, just don’t know the corect directory for it.
