Plugin isn’t updating.

When I open the EZ Drummer 2 standalone program it tells me it’s completely up to date (2.1.6) but in Reaper the EZ Drummer 2 plugin says it’s version 2.1.2. Overall, this wouldn’t matter much to me but I am unable to use the base presets that came with EZ Drummer 2 (the Modern and Vintage sets). Anybody know how I can fix this problem?

Are they both 64-bit versions? Has any .dlls been manually moved since they were installed?

Both are 64-bit versions and I didn’t move anything at first. But when nothing was working I took the .dll out of the Reaper FX folder before eventually putting it back. Nothing new happened.

Open the Standalone version and check the plugin path from the Help menu. I will bet this path isn’t in the Reaper FX folder. Somehow you have 2 .dlls and the Standalone path is the one being updated. If the Standalone path is not in the Reaper FX folder, make note of the path. Set that path in Reaper so it will pick up the correct plugin. Delete the old plugin in the Reaper FX folder.
