Hi, I recently installed EZD2 on a 64-bit Windows 10 pc running a 32-bit version of Live 6. Originally I could not get it as a plug-in only standalone however after reinstalling ezd2 I did manage to bring it up in Live but all midi functionality and song creator did not work. I was met with a caption reading along the lines of ” This is not latest version of ezd2 and therefore cannot access functions.” So I re-installed it again and now am back to original problem. The .dll is right in front of me but whenever I try to drag it to my vst folder it says there is insufficient storage to do so. Which just seems plain wrong as I have tons of storage on the drive.
Also, frustratingly I cannot slave it to Live either nor can I get any sound from the standalone when Live is also running!!! ( This is likely down to the ASIO drivers I think )
Having spent a lot of money on EZD2 I am far from happy. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi,
moving or copying .dll files post installation is a sure way to end up in problems, I’m afraid.
I would uninstall EZdrummer 2, perform a Search on your system drive for ‘ezdrummer.dll’ and delete all instances that show up, then run the EZdrummer 2 full installer and updates again – both 32-bit and 64-bit.
Next, instead of moving or copying the .dll file, point Live to the location. This can be done in the Preferences > VST Paths.

John
