Playhead starts in EZDrummer 3

I use Cubase Pro 12 and EZDrummer 3 with the ‘Follow Host” founction enable.

When I clic Play or Record in Cubase, the count-in starts in Cubase and then music start at the bar were the playhead is located. The problem is that the playhead in EZDrummer starts one second before Cubase which bring confusion when recording. How can we have EZdrummer start on the bar only and follow the host without preceding my DAW?

Hi,

I would suspect that this is a Cubase Preference. The EZdrummer 3 plug-in cannot start playing by itself, so Cubase obviously sends a timeline position.
Or do I misunderstand? Is EZdrummer 3 playing early out of time? If so, please check for any latency inducing plug-ins the audio path that may cause problems with Delay compensation.

A workaround could be to copy the MIDI from the EZD3 Song Track to the Cubase Instrument Track and disable ‘Follow Host’ while recording other instruments.
