Playback when using tracker

I’ve noticed something recently when using the tracker option to replace certain prerecorded drum parts: if I switch to the mixer tab and start playback in my DAW, the replaced sounds are not played unless I switch back to the tracker tab. Is this feature by design, or a program bug?

You can detach the tracker tab, to see the tracker play controls in the same time as seeing the mixer page.

You can set a loop area in the tracker, to not have to set the tracker window in focus and starting it again as soon as it stops.
