When I first started using EZD3 a few months ago, from time to time I would notice a “skipping” effect when playing the samples whether through EZD3 by itself or through my DAW (Reaper). Fast forward to a few days ago after I downloaded the latest update, and the skipping has increased no matter if using EZD3 or my DAW, and it seems to occur more frequently with expansion packs and not so much default kits. My laptop is plenty fast and has plenty of memory, and my latency settings are fine. I almost feel like the update made it worse, but I’m looking for help because I am actively recording some original music and not only has this slowed our process but overall it is very frustrating. Please advise of any settings or anything I could do to help get rid of this skipping issue. I am using a Roland TD-17KVX kit and running EZD3 on an ASUS RoG laptop with Windows 10. I asked about this before and while a couple suggestions seemed to keep these effects at bay for the most part they came back in force with the new update.
Thank you for any assistance!
Hi,
would it be possible for you to provide an audio example?
Do you have an AV program running at the same time?
Are you using the internal audio card in your laptop? If so, do you have any external audio interface you can try with to see if it is still the same?
BR,
John
