I’m a newb with DAWs so maybe it’s a simple thing.
I’m using EZ Drummer 2 as a VST plugin with Reaper. I’m able to create and drag a pattern into a new track and it plays correctly.
I’m able to open the pattern in Reaper to edit it (move MIDI notes around/add/subtract etc).
In this case, delete/add kick hits.
I can visually see on the grid the new MIDI notes and also that the original MIDI note is gone. But on playback it still plays the original kick along with the new kicks (very busy now).
Why isn’t the original MIDI note being deleted?
I think I may have found out why, I watched a Reaper youtube video and I need to mute EZ Drummer during playback otherwise I’m hearing the DAW and EZD playing back.
Do you have the MIDI on the EZD2 Song Track and on your Reaper MIDI track at the same time? Do you have Follow Host button in EZD2 turned on?
