Hello,
I am trying to paste a midi block and have the pasted block begin exactly where my cursor is located. The cursor is in between measures. The problem is every time I press paste no matter where the cursor is located it is automatically pasting the block at the beginning of the measure closest to the cursor even with snap to grid off.
Somehow through my time signature changes in pro tools the superior drummer 3 gridlines have gotten out of sync with my pro tools timing. I can fix this easily if I just pause in pro tools at the start of a pro tools measure and then paste my block at this exact cursor pause point, but it keeps snapping to the beginning of the sd3 measure which is offset from my pro tools measure.
Thanks.
Hi,
I would suggest you Export a MIDI file from Pro Tools (doesn’t matter what’s in it), since this will export Tempo and Time Signature changes to the MIDI file.
Then go to the ‘Track’ Menu for the Song Track and Import Time Signatures from MIDI and locate the MIDI file. If you have Tempo changes on the Pro Tools Timeline, you can do the same for those. The ‘Follow Host’ feature only works for Tempo changes, since Time Signature is not sent from the host to the Plug-In.
