panning

I must have missed this in Superior Drummer 101 class but is there another way to enter a specific pan number rather than trying to work with those sliders?

You should be able to hold the “shift” key and move the panners in fine increments. Or use a mouse scroll wheel and the shift key also. You can’t type specific values.

Although that suggestion DID work it took an awful lot screen real estate to make use of and I had to perform the same moves several times to get it from all the way on one side to the middle. As I don’t use a mouse but rather a track pad I can’t make use of your other suggestion but thanks for making one. If anything else occurs to you I’d love to hear it.

BUT it would be really helpful and far more precise, not to mention faster, (so you don’t lose the “genius” idea!) to be able to enter a value.

Actually, you can use the scroll function on the Magic Trackpad. It has a scroll gesture. You can also three-finger drag the control if enabled.

No ideas lost here because of that. 😉

Enable the scroll and three-finger drag gestures in your System Prefs. You will have more control over SD3’s controls.
