Overlapping notes in EZ Bass midi = extremely short notes in project

Hi Everyone – when I drag EZ Bass song sections from the EZ Bass interface into my DAW and open the MIDI editor, there are places where repeated notes of the same pitch overlap (please see screenshot). This results in the second note being an extremely short staccato in the project. My workaround is to zoom in and manually shorten the first note that overlaps with the second each time it occurs. Do you know why this happens and is there any way to avoid it?

It doesn’t happen in the same place every time with the same groove, seems to depend on the chord progression.

Would really appreciate any feedback or advice on this, thanks

Not at my computer, but top right, in one of the drop downs, is an option to remove overlaps or something like that.
