Starting to use SD3 more and Logic Pro.
There is a SD3 Multi-out AU that allows you to add 16 stereo buses (1/2 – 31/32). I’d like to have an output for each microphone in the SD3 Mixer, but by the time you get to routing “Front L/R”, or “Center”, you are out of outputs to route to. Is it possible to add more or another way around this limitation?
Will I end up using them all? Probably not, but I want the flexibility (the reverb of the room on some of the surround mics is nice, for example) and don’t want to go into SD3 for anything related to mixing after this is setup–just managing the kits.
There is a thread somewhere about this. I usually print to audio and mix that way. I do this to save on processing power, avoid making continuous edits to drum parts and stop the temptation of auditioning more samples again. It’s not the answer you might want to hear but i think it’s good mixing practice
