Hello Toontrack.
I have EZDrummer 1, and I absolutely love that program. I am also still on a Vista 64 operating system.
Which EZDrummer 1 works on just fine.
I see on the requirements for EZ Drummer 2 that it needs Windows 7 or higher.
So my question is if I upgrade to EZDrummer 2 will I not be able to use it on my current rig with Vista 64?
If it is not compatible with Vista64 I will have to wait to upgrade to EZD 2 until I build a new rig in about 6-9 months. Which is “ok” if I can still use EZ Drummer 1 until then.
Thanks in advance.
Vista 64-bit (or 32-bit for that matter) is not supported I’m afraid. It may not even be possible to install it in this environment. EZdrummer 1 is discontinued as you may be aware meaning that we will no longer offer maintenance updates (most likely) but it will of course still work on your rig as it currently is, and available for download at a future date, should you need to do that.

Ok Thank you, I appreciate the clarification. This is fine with me, I just would have been quite upset if I upgraded to EZD2 early and couldn’t use either of them anymore.
I honestly just got EZD1 not all that long ago (a few months) so I am still exploring the original EZD. I also have a few EXPs installed as well. (RockSolid, Metal!, and Metal Machine)
I will just continue to use EZD1 until I build my new rig. Which would more than likely be Windows 8.1 as long as Toontrack’s products support that particular OS, or will be in the near future.
