    BezO,

YES!! I just made a similar post and then found yours. Given the cost of the Orchestral

Perxussion SDX, I was quite disappointed at how few midi files there are.

Surely Toontrack is aware of the value that these professionally played midi performances bring to their SDXs.

There are currently 102 Drum midi packs

in a number of genres. I can’t figure out why

Orchestral Percussion has been virtually ignored in the midi dept. Sure, Ican program my own patterns, but it’s tough to get the nuance and dynamics that a pro percussionist

brings. I REALLY hope this oversight gets corrected. It’s been a big disappointment to me for this reason alone!

What an excellent suggestion I agree the Orchestral pack was severally lacking in grooves.

I just went diving for some sounds in Orchestral and was stunned at how few midi grooves there are – and absolutely no fills for most instruments. Came here to see if I was missing something – would like to echo that this really needs more midi grooves.

James, my post above yours was made a year and a half ago, and I pointed out that there are *102*(there are more now) drum midi packs,
and still *no* midi packs for Orchestral percussion. I’ve also asked about this at Toontracks Facebook page – and it’s been ignored by Toontrack
here on their own site – and on the FB page.

Wow – I just went to the Toontrack products page and I can’t find Orchestral Percussion on it! Have they not only never backed it up with midi
packs – but now abandoned the product altogether and don’t even sell it anymore??

I still see it on their main site, but I didn’t realize how long ago you wrote this. I’m not even going to try and fight this fight – they’ve had plenty of time to do something and for whatever reason they chose not too. I wish I would have known about the lack of grooves before I purchased it.

I was just programming some percussion and thought of this thread. I can only guess the related sound expansions haven’t sold well, so they feel no need to provide MIDI packs.

It’s a shame. Orchestral Percussion is a great sounding, unique instrument. I love that both I & II are set up like typical drum VIs, allowing me to program all on one track, yet still route and mix individually.

Bezo, thanks for that reply. I’d never considered that it might not have sold well. That may be an explanation, but not a satisfactory one for me.

It’s not right to treat customers as orphans because a product doesn’t sell well, especially given that their drum programs and expansions are huge sellers, and the people who bought Orchestral likely also own those drum programs, as I do.

Ah well. I can program grooves from scratch, but much prefer the option to sample numerous grooves I may not have thought of.
