Odd Hi-Hat Issue: Closed Tip when Playing – Open Edge When Recorded/PlayBack

Hello!

I’ve got a strange issue I cannot seem to figure out. I’m working with an Alesis Strike Pro SE kit and Superior Drummer 3 via Logic Pro X on an iMac. I’ve got all my drums MIDI mapped the way I like and it sounds great, but when I record the track the hi-hat, with pedal down, is closed tip hit and when I play it back after the recording is finished, the track is all open edge hi-hat. I cannot figure out why.

Anyone run into the same by chance? I could sure use some help! Thanks for looking.

Hi,

did you start from the Alesis Strike Pro Preset on the MIDI In/E-drums page?

Perhaps you could zip the logic project (without any audio files) and attach to a post here so we may take a look at it?
