Downloaded ezdrummer 2 64 bit last night. Download took 2 hours on a very fast connection. Extracted the zip to my desktop and attempted to install. Installation always stops half way through with an error message that says “Object Already Exists”. Please advise on what I need to do to finally get this program installed.
What is the full error message? Can you post a screenshot? What are your system details?

Sounds like your download was interrupted, ‘glitchy’ or had some kind of interference leaving it somehow corrupted.
I’d advise downloading the ZIP file again and suggest using some sort of download manager.
It shouldn’t have taken 2 hours on a fast connection.
I just downloaded the EZD2 Win installer (3.1 GB) in under 5 minutes to the edge of Amish Country, Pennsylvania USA,
so I don’t think there’s an issue with Toontrack’s server. (It seemed like it took longer to unzip the download than it did to download it.)
I’ve since re-downloaded the program twice and gone through the installation process several times. I’m frustrated and fed up. As is obvious based on these threads, this program has installation issues. Please advise on your refund policy. Not to be arrogant but I’m as tech savvy as they get. I work in I.T. after all. I have no less than 15 music related software programs on my pc. From propellerheads reason to the entire adobe premier suite. Why should I have to go through this nonsense for a simple plug-in? Again, please advise on your refund policy.

Are you using Windows? There has been a bug reported on some Windows update versions that causes this problem, but it has been fixed in the latest updates. Is your Windows updated recently?

I am using windows. It is set to automatically update, so yes, it is on whatever is the latest update to windows 7.
Also, the error message literally says “Object Already Exists”. That’s it. No error message number or anything else. Just those 3 words.
There are reports that it’s a certain security update from Microsoft that causes this installation error. For some – it has helped them by uninstalling this update. If you google “Object Already Exists” you’ll find plenty of links where people are having this problem, and also help on how they fixed it.
