Quick explanation – I am using EZD2 in Mixcraft 7. I am creating some beats using EZD2 as a VSTi – and creating /editing beats using keyboard input and then editing in their piano roll. Since there is no drag/drop between MC7 and EZD2, I have to save the beat as a midi file and put it in a folder.
I added that folder in EZD2 as a user library, and the browse tab finds the three beats I created that way. I can add them to the timeline, adjust using edit play style and even pull each into tap 2 find and I’ve been able to fill out my drum track that way
But oddly, only one of the three shows up in the search tab. With no filter other than the library itself, it only shows one of the three.
This is puzzling but not an issue (yet.) It may simply be that I created it differently the second and third time. Just wondering if anyone has a “top of your head” reason for this?
(Loving EZD2; taking a bit of effort shifting paradigms from the piano roll in Mixcraft but I’m getting there!)
Thanks,
Bill
Are you using the latest update (version 2.11)? If not, update to that version.
If that doesn’t solve your problem – can you try to add some more MIDI files to your user folder? Drag some files from the EZdrummer 2 browser. If they show up in Search, there might be something about the 2 missing MIDI files that causes this.
