So I’ve owned SD 2 abs now 3 for years, but I’ve only started using it. I used it before like a regular drum machine. I didn’t take the time to grok it. I still prefer just creating my own grooves. So I’m still new at this.
Can I alter the grooves provided? How do I amend them? Let’s say I like a basic groove but I need to change the kick pattern?
Thanks!

Not sure if the grid editor was there in SD2 – if you need to alter patterns like that I can heartily recommend upgrading to SD3 if you can’t do it in 2 – I don’t have any form of MIDI controller – either drums or pads – but with the MIDI editor in SD3 I don’t need it.
Features like the grid editor and edit play styles were introduced in SD3. Not having been an SD2 owner, I am not sure if the other features, such as the the ability to mix and match grooves are available (some may have been introduced in EZD2 at the time). I believe that you will need to use a DAW in order to create/edit/extend grooves from SD2, however.

I see. Thank you. I made a mistake in posting. I’m on SD3. And use several DAWS. Good news. Thank you.

In that case, you can go nuts with grooves. Create, modify, mix and match, etc.
I have found that the possibilities are only limited by our imagination in SD3.
