Hello.
I’m a couple months into using EZD2 w/ my Roland TD 17 KVX and really dig it. My only problem is the hi hat. I’ve tried a number of configurations–both in the TD 17 brain and the curve structure in EZD2–but I can’t get a fully-closed hi hat strike sound (no matter how hard I press to the pedal). The VH10 is properly calibrated, according to the TD17 brain. And I get something kind of close–like a semi-closed hi hat strike. Also, it works fine otherwise. e.g., the foot ‘chick’ sound works great and, overall, the hi hat sound is pretty responsive. But I miss the crisp, fully-closed sound.
It works fine, if I just go through the TD17 brain w/out EZD2. So, it’s something about the way the two are talking to each other.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
All best,
-dan
Just check the CC values in a DAW (i.e. Logic or Reaper). You can also remap them there. I can look into your issue and fix it if you can’t get it right ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/579177292995927 ). 🙂

Thanked by: Daniel BerrySuper. Thanks, MBC! I actually stumbled upon another one of your videos before. Must have missed this one. Thanks for sharing your work on this! Gonna try to give it a go in Reaper today.
Best,
