Hi guys, glad I looked on here. I’m also in need of my ezplayer pro serial #. Not on the dvd or in the box. Bought the NY legacy expansion pack on line but think I need ezplayer pro to make them fully functional. This has been a confusing purchase–usually a piece of cake.

No, you don’t need EZplayer to use the NY Legacy SDX. You should be able to download the NY Legacy Vol 2 MIDI from your Toontrack account install them, and have access to them from the Groove tab in S2 (if you are using the latest version, 2.3.0).

Having said that, you should have EZplayer to use if you want to (it was included with your S2 purchase). I’ve wired an EZplayer serial number to your account to download, install and use.

Thanks for the #, got it registered. My install screen said I had to drag and drop the Nir files to ezplayer. The Allaire grooves didn’t show up in my groove menu until just now when I did that.
Now, my only problem is that I only have 1 snare, kick sound etc. Get the red warning ex point when I try to switch to say the Black Beauty snare. Are there sounds I need to get from the black discs 1-5? Did I already get those when I did my initial install?
And…. I got a “partial install” message from dvd 2. Is that the problem? It wouldn’t let me do the full install, only the basic. Am I missing anything?
    Thanks in advance.

Also, when I went to first download, I got a message saying since it’s a large file, I need to also get physical media from the store where I purchased Toontrack–guitar center in this case. I still have all my original dvd’s, which is what I was referring to in the previous mess re: lack of sounds. Should I have all the sounds needed on dvds 1-5?

Not knowing what you’ve installed or haven’t, it is difficult to offer any advice but I’ll try.

My guess is the ‘black discs 1-5’ are the S2 NY Avatar library. They have nothing to do with the NY Legacy Vol.2 SDX library. That SDX has 2 DVD install discs.

I see that you’ve downloaded a file named ‘TT122_NYVol2_MAC_DVD0.dmg’. That is the teaser download for those customers that have purchased but are waiting for the SDX DVDs to arrive. Do you have the NY Legacy Vol. 2 DVDs? Installing the teaser download only would explain the red warning errors.

If you don’t have the 2 NY Legacy Vol.2 DVDs you will need to contact the store you purchased at and get the discs.

Yes, I do have the two green ‘new york studio legacy series vol 2 discs’ ‘the lost new york studios’ from my original purchase.
I assumed that was the ‘physical media’ I needed so I attempted to install. I get the ‘basic’ option only and then only a partial install message from that.
Sorry for the confusion if any. As I said, I have several toontrack products and have never had an issue.

I assume you installed the web teaser. Try uninstalling the web teaser download and then run the installer from the NY Legacy Vol2 discs.

Sorry to report, I just uninstalled the download ‘teaser’ — I assume that was it since it’s the only toontrack I had in my download file from yesterday.
When I tried to install from the discs 1 and 2, I get the same ‘could not copy “SL-Hit factory/eula.html.” When I cancel, I get “the installer has finished with some errors” message. Same as before. Is there a problem with my discs?

Try to install to a location closer to the top of the hard drive, preferably a folder directly under your C: drive or Macintosh HD. After the installation is complete, you may move the installed files to anywhere you like, as long as you set the path in the Superior Settings to the new location.

Think I can figure out the settings to get to the new location if necessary.
Have disc one installed and Allaire working. Assume # 2 will work as well. Thanks for your help.

All right. Got stuff loaded in and working, thanks for the drive placement tip. I would have never figured that out in a million years.
1 issue. When I pull up the mixer, the LED’s on the meters are blank. Audio is there, the mixer functions but there are no levels moving/showing in meters. Ideas?

Never mind. Closed and re-opened and meters working fine.

    Hi,
I bought SD2 from Amazon, and it said it came with EZPlayer Pro, but there were no DVDs for it. I’ve contacted the seller, but they have not gotten back to me.

    1. How do I get EZPlayer Pro?
    2. I roll my own drum beats. Is EZPlayer Pro a step sequencer? It looks like it’s for starting with pre-defned patterns and making small edits. Do you guys make a step sequencer that takes advantage of SD2? I typically use Sonar’s sequencer, but i’m hoping for something more in tune with SD2 so things like drum names are recognized, etc.

    Thanks
    Matt

After further research, looks like EZplayer Pro is not a midi editor and Superior doesn’t contain one so….SMH I read a lot of forums about the differences between Superior and a certain other competing drum program, and i’m stunned it was never mentioned as a major difference. Almost every poster said you’d be happy with either. I guess none of them make their own drum beats. So I guess I don’t need EZPlayer Pro after all, although it looks like a nice program. Time to go figure out how to make SD2 kit piece names show up in Sonar’s step sequencer…I hope it’s possible. 🙂 Session Drummer 3 seems to be able to do it.

    Hi Gjames01,

regarding the missing serial for EZplayer Pro, I suggest you go to the main Toontrack site and click ‘About > Contact Shipping/Office’ explain the matter.
Did you buy it used? If so please provide the seller’s details and the serial you were sent.

EZplayer Pro is a percussion MIDI Arranger/on-the-fly-converter/sequence trigger with certain sequencing capabilities valid for working with percussion MIDI.
Since most DAW’s out there have highly advanced step sequencing/note editor capabilities, there is no need for another one, I guess. That said, it has been requested before and all requests are taken into consideration. I recommend you add your voice to this in the Request & Feedback section of the Forums.

    BR,
    John
