Just tried it out with some Phil Colins tracks, sounds pretty awesome to me.

A few errors in some of the Hugh Padgham presets not mapping to the default Kick drum though, it defaults to the right side drum, which is not there.

I’ve been waiting for something Vinnie-related for years and years. A Hugh Padgham SDX with a 90s Vinnie kit was more than I could ever expect. My first impression is good.. but it’s a lot to take in. I would’ve been satisifed with only one good kit and a few correct snares. Anyway.. a little disappointed they haven’t added the signal chains and close mic info. I’m seeing what  looks like 57 on snare and 421s on the lower toms. Rack tom mics look like minature black RE20s? They’re probably something else, but I am not familiar with those. But Coles as overheads? Was that a common choice back in the early 90s? I dunno.. Kick mics kinda looked like D12ish (black?) and Fet47, but I’m no expert.. and the mics in the software didn’t quite sound like those. If anyone has any insight into the close mics and OHs I would very grateful.

We are currently looking into this issue. It seems to be related to selecting the e-drum preset whilst in some other libraries then navigating to the Hitmaker. If you are experiencing this issue as a temporary workaround you can try setting the e-drum preset to default then re-selecting your desired e-drum preset.

Thank you, I will try this and see if it works.  If I change the kick midi value from 35 to 34 it works temporary.

Amazing SDX, thank you so much for all your hard work making these 🙂

Ugh… Spent weeks recreating the sound for my (to be released) Phil Collins cover with the default kits… Now I can just buy it… 🤷

Any update on this fix ? cheers, Andrew

P.S – Hitmaker is now my favourite SDX of all time. Sounds are just awesome so this is now my “go to” SDX. Something about it just resonates with me – probably in part as I am huge fan of Sting/Police and as drummers – Vinnie, Stewart and Manu.

Dell Precision 7730, i7 6 Core 2.6 GHz, 128GB RAM, 1TB SSD and 3 x 2TB SSD, Windows 11, Cubase Pro 14, SD3 plus a variety of SDX's and EZX's, Orchestral Percussion, EZBASS, RME BabyFace Pro FS and KRK V4 monitors. Modified Yamaha DTX900, DTXPRESS4 and Edrumin10 triggering SD3. Yamaha pads/cymbals and Roland VH-10 HiHat. PDP Maple acoustic kit for live playing.
