New Session Bass’ “Precision” bass vs. Classic Rock “Precision” bass?

What does Session Bass offer that Classic rock does not?  Is it just presets?

If it’s round-wound strings, the description for Classic Bass says it provides a “round” sound among its options.

It says flat wound strings on Session, and this P bass has 4 strings, classic Rock has 5.

The Classic has a range from A0 to E4 and the Session only from D1 to E4. I have both and the Session feels like a newer, more developed product. That is a very subjective view and a matter of taste, but had both products been up for choice at that time, I would have prioritized the Session for what I do.
