Hi, as my music PC is now nearly 10 years old I am having a new one built but I am keeping my current hard-drives so does any one know if I will need to redownload and install SD3 again or will I just be able to point the current install to the relevant sound and MIDI folders, I know you can do this but I do not know if SD writes any other info elsewhere and I forgot to check the registry before I handed my old PC over for the work to be done.
If I can get away without downloading again that would be brilliant as it took about 5 days the first time with my broadband speeds.
Hi there,
You will only need to download and install the software. When you start it up it won’t be able to find the library and will prompt you to navigate to the location sample library.
