New meter added in Digital Performer

Every time I drag a pattern into a track in DP, a meter change is also added into the conductor track. Why is this? It only happens with EZ Drummer 2 in DP. Dragging other MIDI patterns from other libraries (say, one of NI’s drum libraries) does not also insert a meter change. It’s annoying, and could be a real pita if I were working in something other than 4/4. Thanks for any info on this.

Hi, I know this post is 2 years old but I’m having the same issue. It’s very frustrating. I have one 2/4 measure then back to 4/4 and since I added some EZ Drummer 2 patterns, DP is ignoring the meter changes. Even after deleting the add meter change from EZ Drummer my bar numbers all all 2 beats off til the end of the tune. Did you resolve this?

Great to hear from someone else with this issue. Toontrack was no help, and felt that the problem wasn’t from them. I had also filed a tech link with MOTU and they told me that it was something that they needed to look at on their end. I just downloaded the latest update (11.1), but haven’t tried it yet to say of the problem has been solved. FWIW, I also told MOTU that the same thing doesn’t happen when I drag a pattern from, say, one of the Native Instruments drum instruments (which is why I first looked to Toontrack).

you should definitely file a tech link with MOTU.
