i’m getting a new laptop with 2 hard drives. Windows 10 OS will be installed on the first drive, a solid state drive. Also on the first/solid state drive will be Reaper, my DAW.
if I understand correctly, i’m supposed to save my music project files on the second hard drive, a disc drive. also on the second/disc drive should be samples, audio files, midi files, etc.
please advise:
1. on which drive should i install EZD2 program files?
2. on which drive should i install the EZD2 dll plug in, or maybe the bigger question is on which drive should i create my VST folder?
3. on which drive should i install midi packs, expansion packs, etc.?
thank you.
The EZD2 plugin usually gets installed on the system drive. The samples and MIDI can be installed either drive (using the Custom Install Option). The samples are all loaded into RAM and not streamed off of a drive so it doesn’t matter where they are installed.
