New EZmix Update [June 22/21] Crashing My Files in Reaper

I’ve been using all of Toontrack’s products for quite sometime now, and they are my bandmates. On June 22/21, there was an update to EZmix 2. I downloaded and installed the update [64-bit], then tried to open my files in Reaper, and ALL my files would crash upon loading them. After opening them in safe mode with no VSTs, I discovered it was the Master Limiter Stereo Enhancer in the EZmix 2 preset pack that I use in my master track that was causing the issue. I’ve tested this out many times in my DAW and also in EZmix desktop mode, and am able to crash it every time. By removing the Stereo Enhancer, my files open normally. What would be the cause of this? It’s been working fine for ages. Using Win 10, EZmix 2.20. Thanks in advance Toontrack, and awaiting your reply.

Hi, thanks for the report. It seems to be the Master Limter effect that crashes on Windows in this version. I would recommend going back to 2.1.5 until 2.2.1 is out.

So how do we roll back bcause the same is happening to me? Its been great until the update, dont they trial updates before sending them out?

Hey IllusiveJack. I did it by going to my Control Panel, Add or remove programs [in Win 10 they call it Apps & features], find EZmix and uninstall it. Then go to your Toontrack Product Manager and find EZmix. Click on Show Details you should now see both EZmix versions 2.1.5 & 2.2.0 and only install the earlier version. When I did that, Reaper acted like nothing had happened and picked up where I left it. Hope this helps.

This is also happening to me and I’ve narrowed the issue down to the Mastering pack. EZMix crashes even in standalone mode whenever I try to load a preset from that pack, otherwise it works fine. I’ve restored my system to a previous point in order to go back to EZMix 2.1.5 and everything is working as usual.

Same issue here with crash on EZMix 2.2.0 in Reaper 6.29, W10.
Works fine when reverted back to 2.1.5.

Here also EZmix 2 version 2.2.0 crash.

I only noticed now when I tried to select two presets from the Neil Dorfsman EZmix Pack.

One was a bass amplifier, the other was a master effect.

Cubase 9.5, Windows 8.1

Also standalone!
