I need help in selecting the proper SDX to purchase. I need to create mono drum backing tracks for use in live performances. Which SDX sounds most like real a drummer playing live unprocessed drums (without a reverb, effects, etc.)? I am a vocalist, guitarist, saxophonist. I want my backing tracks to sound like a live drummer behind me in the room/bar/venue. I don’t want my tracks to sound like karaoke or like I’m playing over a “radio-ready” mp3 studio recording of the song. I will be running the MONO tracks from a laptop into a live sound mixer board and into the PA mains, along with my live vocals, live mic’d tube amp guitar speaker cabinet, and live mic’d saxophone. As additional information, I am using Reaper as my DAW on a MacBook Pro with 96gb RAM to create the tracks (along with SD3, EZKeys, and EZBass as VSTs). I appreciate any recommendations for both a SDX and settings.
Hard to say as all have dry kits. Maybe try choosing by reading each expansion and what type of sounds are available. There are samples on the toontrack page for the expansions. What type of music are you playing?
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
You probably don’t need any expansions at all. The core library has plenty of kits that should meet the need. Which dry kit you prefer will be highly personal. For most new projects I generally start with a Yamaha kit.

To put it this way: every library in Superior Drummer is recorded in a studio. Getting them to sound live like they are in the room you’re in would be more of a challenge than simply finding an expansion, if you need one, that mixes well with your instruments. Not have heard your sound, it would be hard to recommend an SDX.
