Hi All,
First time posting and hoping someone can help me out with what I assume should be an easy question.
I’ve been an EZdrummer2 user for a while now and just purchased the Hip-Hop EZX expansion pack. I’m trying to recreate the sound that was advertised on the demo page (found here). If you scroll down and play the “Drums & Presets” audio demo, the sound I’m trying to recreate is #4 out of 19, called “The Feather Preset”.
I’ve obviously got my EXdrummer2 loaded up with the Feather Preset, but I can’t for the life of me recreate the first two beats (which is all I need). I’m planning to create my own beat, but want to start with this exact sound for inspiration. It sounds incredibly basic, but I can’t replicate it. Anyone know exactly what sounds are being used here?
Not sure your familiarity level with EZD2. Do you know that on the Drums Tab, you can right-click on an instrument and change the sound of that instrument (kick drum for example) to another in the drop-down menu?
I’m under the assumption that the “Drums and Presets” examples are stock sounds from your EZX. So I assume that it’s a matter of matching the separate instruments in your Project File to the ones in the example on the product page.
If I owned that EZX I’d put a few minutes into it for you, but I do not.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do know how to change the sounds on each instrument using the drop down menus. Problem is, I simply can’t recreate the sounds. I’ve gone though every sound in that pack (there are a ton).
Hopefully someone else who owns the pack can come along. The only other things I can think of are any FX chains on the Mixer Tab, which I’m sure you looked into. There’s also the pitch knob on the instruments properties panel, which may have been used on the kick-like sound. Or these almost record scratching sounds could be different pitch shifted hits of anything. I looked at the product page, it is intricate. Seems way cooler than the Electric EZX I own. May want to see if Toontrack hid anything in the upper right stock percussion instrument panels as well. Good luck on the endeavor.
