Hello,
I purchased Pop/Rock.
Not sure what I did or didn’t do. When I check “My Products” it always says that “Pop/Rock” is unathorized.
When I launch EZDrummer in stand-alone mode and I click on Pop/Rock to load it it works fine. When I look in the Browser for the MIDI there is no listing for Pop/Rock.
When I click on Search under the Library heading I see EZdrummer Pop/Rock and the files load into the time-line.
If there is something that I need to do…please advise.
Thank you,
Paul
I have the same situation here but I believe I read somewhere (on this forum) that it is because I have EZD1 also installed and pop rock is already authorized. Everything works OK and I know I paid for it so I’m OK with it.
EZdrummer 1.2.0, Jazz, Funkmasters, & DFH EZX
Thanks rtucker55 for getting back to me.
One last question for you.
When I click on Pop/Rock in my products I do have a serial number, but below that on the tab, “My Authorizations” it has the 2 selections, “+ Add Computer”.
All of my other products have the, “Computer ID” & the “Authorization Code”.
Is yours the same as mine?

I think that’s what it is. I have the same as you and everything works on both computers…. In happy.
Same here… My Pop Rock works fine and it’s the latest version (1.5.2) but my account says “Unauthorized”. I had EZ and SPD and also upgraded to EZ2. I guess the flaw lies here and is not being updated/recognized to “Authorized” This should be fixed as it can become confusing in the future.
iMac Intel Core i7, 2.8 GHz, 16 GB, Mavericks 10.9..
Logic X, Live 9.1 Suite, Push, Apogee Ensemble
I thank all of you for your responses.
Not that it solves the problem…but, it does mean that I am not alone and others are experiencing the same problem.
I suspect that they (Toontrack) will get around to fixing it when they get the time and in the meantime all is working well anyway.
I thank all of you again for your responses.

For what it’s worth, I just purchased the upgrade yesterday, and am having the exact same result as you are Paul.
Thanks Leevious for your confirmation that the confusion is not some anomaly on my DAW or a glitch in my Toontrack account.
Again, unless your version of EZdrummer 2 or POP/Rock does not work…it appears that we just go on until Toontrack can rectify the, “Glitch”.
But again, thanks for letting me know that your version of POP/Rock appears the same as mine and others.
Have a great day!
Paul
Just logged on because I am having the same issue. Also, oddly, in My Products, EZ Drummer Lite shows “Update Available” but not sure why I would care as I upgraded to full version and EZ D2. I was wondering if that was the issue with Pop/Rock too.
Can’t wait to dig into EZ D2. Upgraded to Win7 finally just so I can use this great tool.
Hello Fezzler!
Actually in, “My Products” my copy of Pop/Rock says, “Unauthorized”. Then when I click on the, “Unauthorized” heading to authorize it, I get the Serial Number but it says, “Add Computer”. Usually when you try to run a specific, EZX it will tell you that it is Not Authorized and then you have to enter the serial number and add your computer ID.
In my case and several of those who responded, they have the same issue, but the Pop/Rock EZX works fine without having to Authorize or Add Computer.
So, again for now I will just continue to use the Pop/Rock EZX and wait for Toontrack to straighten it out. From my end, it works and I cannot change it, so let it go.
Eventually I’m sure that Toontrack will want to have all products that say, “Unauthorized”, to be in reality, “Unauthorized”. Or if they are, Authorized to say, “Authorized”.
I say for us the users, go ahead and enjoy the, “New and Improved”, EZDrummer 2 and let them iron out the glitches when they have the time.

Hi,
Sorry for the confusion. There is a difference between Toontrack.com saying a product is “unauthorized” and receiving a message in your Toontrack software saying that the product is un-authorized.
In the case of the Pop Rock EZX, If it works on your computer it is indeed authorized. The Pop Rock EZX was added to the users accounts who upgraded from EZDrummer 1. So, If were using EZDrummer 1 in the past, you authorized Pop Rock in the past (on your computer) simply by authorizing EZdrummer 1.
Toontrack wanted EZdrummer 2 upgrade users to be able to access and re-download their EZDrummer 1 Pop Rock library if they ever needed to… So, we created the Pop Rock EZX as a separate download and added it to the accounts of users who upgraded from EZDrummer 1. However, technically this new Pop Rock EZX has not been authorized on your toontrack.com account.
Therefore, Toontrack.com does not show that POP Rock EZX has been authorized and displays an Unauthorized message… but nothing is wrong.
This is not a glitch, it is simply a fact that a new authorization has not been created for the Pop Rock EZX. This will in no way effect how Pop Rock works on your computer. It will remain authorized as it has been.

This means that there is a update for EZDrummer lite that you have not ever downloaded. It does not mean that you should download it. Since you are an EZDrummer 2 user you should not download this update.
Toontrack.com does not communicate with your computer in any way to see what products you have installed or updated. It simply shows a record of what you have or have not downloaded.

Hello Michael,
Thank you so much for stepping in and clarifying what had a few of us baffled. It’s perfectly clear now what is going on.
For myself, when I upgraded to EZDrummer 2 I then began updating all of my EZX’s. That is when the, “Unauthorized” appeared and because I was in download/update mode I saw it as something that I could not rectify. That’s what prompted my initial inquiry.
Thank you for helping me and maybe some others out.

But it’s confusing — to most of us. Aren’t humans smarter than computers? Why can’t the site simply be programmed *not* to display the “Unauthorized” button?
Yes, you are right.
I think that it was nice of Michael to get back and explain what was going on.
But, it doesn’t change the fact that the versions of Pop/Rock should not continually say, “Unauthorized”.
It’s a glitch or a silly over sight (call it what you want) to not change something that seriously needs to be changed. If the product has a listing telling us that we need to, “Update” or that a product is, “Unauthorized”, but when you click on the button and there isn’t anything that needs to be done…I guess, I just don’t understand the logic behind having a button that means nothing.
Kind of like building a door because it’s always good to have a door that goes somewhere, but when you open the door it leads to a brick wall. Then I am left with only 1 question…”Why is there a door here?” Or in this case…”Why is there a button here?”
Yesterday I “authorized” my old Rock/Pop by telling the system the same computer “no” as for the “authorizing” of the upgrade to EZD 2 . It worked . Now it no longer tells me “unauthorized” .
Regards
Fritz
